Our story
How stitchos started
stitchos was founded in early 2026 by Mara Osei and Devlin Chao after both experienced the same problem: building startups alone and realizing that every tool they used made the chaos worse, not better.
The insight came while Mara was building her second startup. She had ChatGPT open in one tab, Notion in another, a task manager in a third, and a spreadsheet for weekly reviews in a fourth. Every Monday, she rebuilt context from scratch. Every decision was made emotionally because no one challenged it. Every Friday, she had no idea if the week mattered.
stitchos started as a private tool. Mara built a prototype that stitched scattered startup context into one persistent operating layer — decisions, roadmap, context, and weekly progress in one focused rhythm. Within three months of using it herself, she showed it to 20 solo founders in her network. 18 kept using it after two weeks. That was the signal.
Devlin joined in mid-2026 to build the AI memory layer. The core technical bet was that generic LLMs fail founders because they lack persistent, structured company context. By combining a persistent memory layer (Startup Brain) with a reasoning layer tuned for strategic pushback, stitchos could act less like a chatbot and more like an operating system.
The company incorporated in California in 2026, raised a pre-seed round, and launched public beta. Today, stitchos serves active solo founders building from San Diego, CA and around the world.
